The Reason

Amy: "You're going too fast! Slow down!"
Jason: "No, this is fun."
Amy: "No it's not, please, it's too scary."
Jason: "Then tell me you love me."
Amy: "I love you, slow down."
Jason: "Now give me a big hug."
*She gave him a big hug*
Jason: "Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself?
It's really bothering me."

The next day, the headline of a newspaper read, "Devastating Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Survivor." Jason had realized that his breaks weren't working, but he didn't want Amy to know. Instead, he had her hug him and tell him she loved him one last time. Then he had her put his helmet on, knowing there was nothing else he could do for her.
