Character Profile for Pai'lina- Pai'lina is a swordbind, a species of demon known for their unusual appearance. Essentially humanoid, with a long, mace-like tail, swordbinds would look much like the traditional demon- if it weren't for the many long, metallic spines that project from every inch of skin on their outer arms, chest, back, and legs. When the swordbind is relaxed, the spines lie flat- when she isn't, they stand straight out, providing her with a natural defense and natural weapons. Add three inch claws and fangs, and the swordbind is not a species to get into a fight with. Pai'lina is the servant of the current Monarch of the demons, and is fiercely loyal.

Pai'lina bowed before the throne. She was sworn to the service of whomever held it; as her mother and her mother's mother had been. That this new queen was responsible for the old king's death did not bother her.
