That was just me throwing around ideas in a tough job market - a delusion to keep me going? emo

At the time I was looking for hardware jobs, they all ... required massive experience or experience with high frequency wireless - neither of which I had. I was in a down, feeling-worthless, and dumb state.
Not to mention the place that best matched the position I was looking for, rejected me because they called me without setting up a time beforehand via e-mail, and so I was not prepared for the interview over the phone; they said they would call back at a better time, they never did. I called to see if they might have forgotten - they said they lost interest. I left it there.

The other interviews I went to ended up wanting to con me: "we hire hardware engineers, but oh yeah, we don't pay you - we sell you off to a client - which may never come."
I got up and left the interview with a huge headache.

So I gave up on hardware, and went fully software - and found a job right away, making software for internal use - and I don't regret it.
Maybe it was a sign from the heavens, which is why the hardware route turned out so bad for me. It was trying to tell me to turn-back, go the other way. rolleyes

Though - the people that made me feel the worst through all of this were my parents. Instead of backing me up, it was "Oh where is your college degree now???" That stuff hurt.
Now that is all behind me, and I am happy.

Anyways, what happened with your last co-op experience?
I assume coworkers were trying to hit on you?

But... Congratulations! Great to have more women in engineering! biggrin
Though there is a dark side: Research has shown that men are 15% or so dumber when in the presence of a woman:
