She's like, OMG SARAH YOU DID WORSE IN SOCIAL STUDIES OMGOMGOMGOM!!111ONE. AND IN MATH TOO OMGOMGOMG!!!1ONE.
She didn't even mention how I went up in two subjects, also. ._____.
And I really wouldn't call dropping from a B+ to a B "worse". =_____=
She just expects me to be perfect. ._____.

I'm not generally frustrated with it. I just avoid going in there (except during events, at which time tiny glimmers of actual discussion sometimes pop up). I'm not going to waste time being aggravated at something that, as the Halo thread showed, I can't change at all. Sure, it got some discussion going within the thread, but as soon as the thread died the GCD was right back to its normal ways. It effected not an ounce of actual change in the forum.

The GCD as a whole just wants to make EI fanthreads, and fifty topics every Thursday and Friday about what items are going to evolve, and a repeat-thread-of-a-repeat-thread once in a while about how Gaia's ads suck and all they want is money, or how Gaia's dying and all they want is money. If Gaia's killed itself, the GCD is the hand holding the knife.

Yeah, the time I posted that thread was around the time I left the GCD for good. The quality of all Gaia's forums has declined, but I honestly believe that, with the possible exception of the General Discussion, none have fallen more startlingly or more dramatically than the GCD. And while the Halo thread ended up pissing me off real bad, a whole lot of legitimate discussion went on in it, which was the only real intention in the first place. It achieved its goal to an even greater extent than I had hoped.

That said, we used to have discussion like that all the time. There hasn't been another single thread like the Halo thread since it was made, and there hadn't been for almost a year before. It's hard for me to set foot in the GCD at all anymore.
