not just jesus but us personally. we have the power to do it and because of our relationship with christ he as a direct result makes things permanent by doing the same things we do in heaven.

no, although it could. mathew 16:19 is talking about the authority we have in christ we have the authority like a corrections officer to lock up negative things like anger or jealousy and we have the authority to set free or loose peace and healing. but the word also says that faith without works is dead and vice-versa. to lock up or set free anything we must hve a relationship with jesus christ. we must be strong in the lord.
