It doesn't have the best graphics, but it's still doing pretty well for an MMO from 2008!
During the time of its initial release it may have been one of the best I suppose surprised

I heard those places still exist in Aion EU surprised
Because Aion EU decided to keep those areas...
I miss those zones too though. heart

surprised Lost Ark is supposed to be an MMO with Aion style graphics and art... Last I saw from trailers, that is. About 1-2 years ago...

Yeah! Good MMOs are really rare nowadays. Especially that my friend who is an avid PVPer always laments, because there are some good MMOs out there but those cater to PVE.
I really loved Aion's design, the map aesthetics, the taste in clothing and weapons. High fantasy in Aion is exactly my taste and it makes me sad that no other game seems to have the same kind of style and aesthetics for items, gear and maps like Aion does...
(For example, final fantasy is high fantasy style too but they have this really metallic style in their designs and monsters etc...)

I also really like the story in Aion, actually.
There's this looming despair that the war will end in the destruction of the whole Atreia if nothing changes...

Well when I was at my peak of Aion, being super active and all, I was pulled into politics too... Though not into the heart of it, thankfully. But it was still bad enough.
And people cry and argue over teamspeak back then, someone actually did cry!
Drama and backstabbing...
Aion, it's like the politics there are top notch. Never really saw another game like it xD
But in a way it sure fits the lore.
The Asmodians are way more organised and united than the Elyos, who fight among themselves internally...
