My (old) Namesake--The Seer and the Sword, by Victoria Hanley

Book Description--Princess Torina lives a charmed life in the Kingdom of Archeld. Then her father, King Kareed, seizes the peaceful kingdom of Bellandra--and its legendary sword, rumored to be able to defeat any enemy.

I've been meaning to learn German for ages, but I've not gotten around to it. My dad is fluent, though, so it shouldn't be too hard to get lessons. I would relay 'em over the internet to you. =D
