They all sound different. Technically the sound of the guitar depends on the kind of wood you use.
There are other varying factors that change a guitar's sound; strings, pickups.
The shape of the body is purely aesthetic. At least, as far as electrics go.

I've been to several garage sales and pawn shops.
Sometimes pawn shops have interesting items.

I actually want to make my own guitar. surprised
Maybe I could do my own violin, but I don't know much about the instrument, except that it sounds like an angel.
