I'm sorry, Tarka! I've been cut off from the internet at home for the summer. And... I've had a few problems the last month. Nothing to worry about.

So, I know it's been a while, but how did the second-job search go? Or did they just load you up with hours at your first job?

I know: People are stupid and want other people to pay for their stupidity. Thus, they sue the crap out of each other over frivolities like spilled coffee. And then the judge/jury finds in favour of the plantiff. Which leads to more stupidity. I browsed a few other frivolous lawsuit sites, and it seems as though most documented lawsuits come from North america. Whether that indicates anything about our values, I'm not sure. I just thought it was kind of interesting.

Sorry I was gone for so long. I... was busy.

Yeah, that's very true. Like that lady who won a lawsuit against McDonald's after she spilled coffee on herself. some people are just so stupid. I think there should be a minimum IQ limit to be allowed to file lawsuits like that. I can undertand suing over getting sick from eating at a restaurant, but it's your own stupid fault if you spill your drink on yourself. Incidentally, the lawsuit spawned a new award, the Stella Awards, for the most frivolous lawsuits of the year. I'll see if I can find a website...The Stella Awards! I think my introduction of the awards was slightly incomplete, but that's the way I heard it.

If you like the orange and green, then I should probably change it to orange.

If not, they should be available at Safeway for under 10 bucks.

Aw, I understand. I was worried you were laid up in bed and couldn't get on at all. *Snuggles* Glad you're feeling better. I'm still debating whether I like my profile this way or if I want to change it.
They could just use peanut products and put warnings on everything. And I'm under the impression that if you're so severely allergic to nuts that you could die, thats just natural selection working against you. Sorry, no sympathy for them. It's nothing personal, just poor genetics on their part in that area. If some people could die because of soap allergies, I imagine people wouldn't be all gung-ho about labeling everything as soap-free and removing soap from schools and kitchens. Stupid government and activists and lobbyists...
I don't think it was my shampoo, because I've used the brand and type before, except this one is a 2-in-1 thing.
And while it would be wonderful to have noob-detectors at our disposal, I can't see them being developed anytime soon. And it's not like Gaia will ever release it as an item, either, so we can't have them where it would be useful.
They're virtual, but of course I have muffins! Oh! We had these delcious Caramel Apple Cinnamon muffins at Sandwich club last Friday, so you can have some of those with your blueberry muffins. I'll whip up a batch!
*Magi disappears into Gaia Kitchens and returns with baskets of blueberry and caramel apple cinnamon mufffins, which he then hands to Sweetie.* Enjoy!

(1/3)It's NEVER SAFE! If it's not on here, it's on other forums and in chat rooms. It's in e-mail and text messages. It's in online gaming. If they can reduce full words to one letter, they're going to, because they're too lazy to add the other two or three letters to make the word readable above a first-grade level. Adn thus the term noob was born, as a way for those who use the english language properly to distinguish themselves from those who do not. One wonders just how noob evolved into n00b, but one thinks it involved a finger slip to the 0. And apparently they couldn't just hit backspace.

(2/3)Allergies are crappy. They don't do a damn bit of good, and deprive children of their right to bear peanut butter sandwiches. I realize there are some people who are deathly allergic to peanuts, but there are also people who are deathly allergic to bees and we don't ban bees from elementary school. There's just more outrage about peanut allergies because we have no control over other people's children. The hazard is low 99% of the time, but a high outrage level means millions of kids must forgoe peanut products or be punished. Or, as Peter Sandman puts it, "Risk=Hazard+Outrage. When hazard is high and outrage is low, people underreact. And when hazard is low and outrage is high, they overreact."

(3/3)On a sillier note, I'm about 50% sure I'm allergic to my soap. It was either my new soap or my new shampoo, but since it was my arms and legs that were itching like crazy, I'm assuming it was the soap.

Other than that, I'm okay. I really love my job, even if I am tired most nights afterwards. Sandy (my boss) made me a really tasty drink, but it made me feel really sick for about an hour. School is fine, too. I'm at 80+% in almost all of my classes. And I really like the DNA unit of Biology. It's so much fun to write out the DNA sequences and their complements and the mRNA compliments and the tRNA anticodons. What's not so fun about it is trying to figure out which amino acid each codon codes for, because the chart we use is useless and confusing.

I hope your sinuses clear up, Sweetie! Keep taking your Vitamin C and resting, okay?

I really only check my profile and the profiles of random people who add me as a friend. I tend to stay away from all the others. I don't feel like having my eyes bleed from crowded ugly profiles and profiles with no grammar. *Cringe* It's almost as bad as making a thread in the SmutBox. Don't you wish they sold Noob-Away in a store somewhere?

I'm a day late to wish you health and that your doctor's visit goes well, so I guess that simply means I'll have to ask how it went. How did the visit go?

Your profile's not that crowded. Well, I don't think so, anyway. At least you can still see and click on everything. Some people's profiles are so crowded you can't see anything, let alone click on. And most of them are really ugly, too. Much too crowded and busy. Simple is usually the way to go.

It's okay if you're feeling uncreative. We can make up our own weird laws anytime. Take your antibiotics and get your rest, okay? And chug orange juice like it's... chocolate. And if you're really desperate, gargle with mouthwash to kill the nasties.

Ah, I undertand. That being the case, it makes sense that your interest lists are all so long. And if you had only listed favorites, I suppose it wouldn't really be your profile, would it? It would be... some sort of degenerate clone of your profile. Or something like that. Maybe it's mentally challenged cousin...?

Ciould you imagine what would happen if we took over the world for even a day? People would immediately be "WTF?". "All cars must start driving on the left, except for buses and trucks, which must all drive on the right." "No train shall cross a road except at marked crossings, and then only when traffic has come to a complete stop." "All pets must be on a leash at all times, except when riding a bicycle." Heh, I had fun thinking of those.

There's actually a site that plays it over and over and times how long you've been sitting there watching it. I don't kow if it'll work anytime soon, but here it is.

True, true, but are you sure you have enough time to take an interest in all of that? It seems like it would take a lot of effort to fit all that into any length of time. Well, maybe a year and you could hit all of them. Perhaps six months...

Aw, I'm so happy! We'll be weird together, and start a... a... weird-ocracy. Where only the weirdest people are allowed into power. At our discretion, of course. We'd be like weird-tators. Like dictators, only better, because our policies wouldn't make sense to normal people. Like... "Must bathe cats in a bucket." Or "No drinking between the hours of 1 A.M. and noon." Stuff like that.
