lol. Especially given that few remember a year aggo when the Insurance Companies were saying that if the government forced more Americans to buy health insurance, they would gladly do away with all the practices they had been doing with pre-existing conditions and such.

And truth be told, I so want out of this state. Given the county I live in has said in addition to personal property tax, they are likely to approve having it so that not only does a resident pay registration fees to the DMV for their car every year, but they will have to pay a registration fee to the county as well. (Lives up in Western Fairfax County).

Nice post in the Communist Canada thread on health care. And having taking the insurance licensure exam in Virginia, it's completely true that since going to shareholder status, the insurance companies have done all they can to drive profits up for their shareholders, by refusing to pay for treatments in many cases, or else paying peanuts off the bill. Such as my ER visit in November with $75 out of $2900.
