In a flash Rosanna was beside Victoire and had a dagger made of blood to her neck. "Shut the hell up. You're not gonna sing anymore." She hissed.

Rosanna panted slightly as the pain subsided. She plastered a grin on her face and said emotionlessly. "It was lovely."

"I will not be an interesting kill, because you won't kill me." Of course, then her eyepiece decided to take it's familiar and comforting place by forming over her right eye, the target-symbol etching itself onto the yellow glass while the headset hummed to life and flashed a few colored lights in an "turning on" sequence. "Much better..." She commented in soft relief, releasing her naginata with one hand to set something on the headset before replacing her hand and swinging the weapon back and away, jumping back a few feet in a motion that seemed suspiciously like a dancer's twirl.

Rosanna backed herself against the wall of the room. She hissed as she scratched her wrist just slightly. With the drop of blood that came out, she made it into a whip and slung it at Victoire's neck before she could get any louder.

James had chuckled, but at the same time be sensitive to Victoire's situation, "I have scared the scary people before, so yeah. I can do that for you," giving the blonde maiden a comforting hug.

Rosanna listened and then suddenly bent over grabbing her head in pain. She swore quite colourfully and concentrated on trying to get the sound out of her head.

"I said I didn't want to fight you, not that I wouldn't defend myself." Lucis sighed and tapped her locket lightly. Nothing. ... Damn it. She would be fighting the old-fashioned way, then. "I can do that trick too." She flung her right arm out parallel to the ground, particles of gold light forming and converging to form a long, white-bladed polearm with a light gold staff, which she swung into a guard stance, before pointing it at Victoire to attempt to keep her back and far enough that she couldn't attack without being caught on it. "Will you stop now?"

James couldn't help but pay attention to Victoire, and responded but hesitantly, "That wouldn't be a bad idea," the blonde said, but only in a voice loud enough for the both of them to hear.

James was slightly stunned from Victoire's response, and after a few moments, the blonde Terran had naturally put his arms around the French maiden, while saying, "Well, you're here now, so you should be safe," hugging, and patting the blonde woman's back in reassurance. "I was just bullied," James said, saying an afterthought out loud.

She chuckled. Rosanna trapped Victoire in a ball of darkness. "Are you afraid of the dark?" She asked softly. Her voice seemed to echo from inside the ball. In a matter of seconds, Victoire would feel small but painful slashes against her body as the shadow and blood demons attacked her from inside the ball.

"Whether you let me stand in your way or not, I will. Stop now, while you only have but that many deaths to atone for." It would be great if she could figure out how to transform, though. Maybe then she could at least partially back up her intentions...

She glared at her. "How nice." She hissed. Rosanna's shadow slithered around and grabbed Victoire by her heel, dragging her down on the floor with great strength.

"Aww," James began, looking at Victoire in a compassionate manner, "don't cry. If you want to know, I had to quit choir class because of some insistent jerk that wouldn't leave me alone. My music teacher understood, but I was still sad after that day. I was only a child then, but I want to get back into singing," bringing up a slightly painful memory while looking sad himself. The tall blonde took his left pointer finger, and tried to lift Victoire's pout into a smile one side at a time.

She chuckled. "Oh now. You don't like your dress being ripped?" She smirked. In a sudden flash of darkness the sleeve of Victoire's dress was ripped off by her own shadow.
