The brunette quietly followed her roommate back inside, not saying anything until the door was closed behind them.

"So..." she attempted to start. "Where have you been all of this time? I mean... I haven't really seen you much lately..."

Beth reached up or her earrings again, out of habit, and caught herself. Slowly, she lowered her hand again.

"Well..." she wanted to find something to say, but found that there 'was' nothing to say.
