That's easy; people feel and know what to expect while in life, and even if surprises show (poverty strikes, or you win the lottery, etc..) up, after a week or so, you figure out what's next to do to survive.

Now, one doesn't fully know what'll happen after one dies. We don't have taped footage of someone who died saying "Hey, the afterlife sucks.. I'm in a vacuum" or "Hey, the afterlife is sweet - (if you're a woman - I'm attended to daily by buff, handsome guys; or if you're a guy - I'm attended to every second by shapely, gorgeous hot women) " or anything you consider pleasant..haha. So, thus, many of us are kept up at night (not literally) wondering, what will happen to me after I keel over? I know I think about this at times. And the downer part is that one never knows WHEN one will expire. I can only hope I live to a ripe old age and die peacefully in my sleep, after accomplishing much of what I wanted. But in this crazy world of ours, that's not what may happen, unfortunately. I may be hit by a car this week or something awful like that.. I don't know. And if I leave this world "too early", will I, in the afterlife, be bummed out about that (wondering if I lived longer, I could've found Ms. Right, got married, had a fulfilling career and purchased a nice home, etc...).
