It's from Mikhail Bulgakov's Heart of a Dog.
Zinaida Prokofievna is the live-in servant of the renowned Soviet doctor and scientist,
Phillip Phillopovitch, who make the fateful decision to turn
a friendly mutt into a man, and in turn, a Communist scoundrel.
It's satirical, but unless you have in-depth knowledge about Soviet culture,
most of it will fly right over your head.
That being said, it is an interesting novel nonetheless.

Sorry for the late reply. I was studying for a test on Friday and writing the said test on Saturday night (yeah, I know >>; ). I think I aced it! =P

I stopped eating eggs once I found out how much cholesterol there is in an egg yolk. I'm thinking to switch to just buying cartoned egg whites from time to time because I love meringue. I did know that eating red meat contributes to global warming (found out from Boston Legal), but I never liked red meat much anyway.

I probably will blog my medschool experience (provided that I get in). I was actually really hoping for getting into one of those combined MD/PhD programs. That would give me so many options! When do you plan on going back to school?

Agreed, it is a lot different in the attitudes towards sexuality and sex in general. A British feminist could perhaps shed some light on the differences, but I'm not sure where to find one or if one would even know. It's a bit frustrating in that respect.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. My professor lectured us at length about how British and American perceptions and methods of patriarchy/The Patriarchy were different and how we should recognize cultural differences and respect them and stuff, but I'm still not sure how they are different.

So, you're essentially in neuroscience? I'm planning to apply to med school this year and hoping to major in psychiatry. There is a nice combined MD/PhD program that I'm hoping to get into. And woot! I'm practically a pescatarian too (lacto-pescatarian, to be precise)!
