Hmm, fair enough, considering the situation. Your position is hardly unreasonable.

Wierd how that happens sometimes. I've ended up actually dumping some originally important events because they just didn't fit with characters any more. I tend to sacrifice a heck of a lot to character development - sometimes I worry too much.

Incidentally, I've written a new short story I'll probs put up on IP fairly soon. The one about the Imaginary Plane ended up taking a back seat because I reckon it can be developed a lot more, so write this new un instead. It's an unusually morbid piece for me!

Ha I've just looked back at that - I kinda see what you mean. Thankfully, I didn't take it the wrong way :L razz

Oh, so many 'sideplots' in my books are going to end up as pretty critical things. You remember Cern and Kesali (did you get that far)? Originally they were encountered twice and then disappeared into the ether...now they're quietly some of the most crucial characters in the book. Fen's old master, Mage Ilton, is another one of those (he has such an awesome past to be revealed at some point, I kid you not).

Erm...I know you said something else, but I've now forgotten. XP My brain is actually mush today.

Thank you *overseas virtual hug back* I am happy now. It's very strange; you really don't realise how much people mean to you until you think you've lost them...you lose yourself somewhat, and I really was lost without him. Everything's okay again though, so I'm not going to dwell on that any longer.

Ironically enough, this has equipped me rather perfectly to write a section near the end of Earthfire...And then for Sarri and the end of book two and throughout book three (for which I'm still trying to decide names). I'm so horrible to my characters.

I look forward to finding the little changes when you've gone through it. To be honest, I've done very little on Earthfire. Huge amounts of studying plus emotional issues don't make me very productive! I am, however, trying to think my way through a number of slight plot difficulties later on. Oh, and whether I ought to split my ridiculously long book into two shorter ones. Y'know, Robert Jordan style (though I'm not a great fan of the Wheel of Time books).

Oh i jus type in a radom birthday date for Sarri. cos herb'da in Eartfire is rougly the equivalent of this time of year. My proper b'day isn't til July.
