I too feel lucky to have known my Gran and to have had her in my life.
While it saddens me that she is gone, I know that she is no longer in pain, and she's in a better place, wherever she is.
While I don't share the same religious beliefs as her, I do believe she's up there somewhere, watching over me.
I celebrate the life she had and shared with us. I remember the happy times, and how she always tried to make us happy, even when it was hard times.
As I get more gold (I'm waiting for stuff to sell on the MP) I'll send you another trade with more items.

I also come from an abusive childhood, and my Gran was everything to me.
She cared so much about people. She always tried to make the best of everything.
She was so strong for someone who was almost constantly fighting for her life.
I'm also sorry for your loss, and for your abusive parents.
I too, have cut off ties with those who have abused me, for my own happiness and health.
I am happy that you have people to celebrate Christmas with. <3

I can relate, believe me. Christmas week changed for me too.
My Grandmother passed away on Dec. 21, 2009, but I found out about it on the 23rd, which was also the day she was buried.
Christmas week has been tough every year since she passed away. Also, the last four to five years, my Christmases have been just like any other day,
because I've had no family to celebrate it with. They exclude me from a lot, including their holiday gatherings.
But this year, I decided to make my own Christmas, so I bought a little tree, and decorated it.
That alone made me happy. Then I recently got a package from my best friend's mom, with a few Christmas presents inside,
so I actually have a few presents under my tree this year.
Even if I am alone on Christmas this year, like I have been for the past few, I'll still make the best of it.
