I will inform you that I am well and that the war is going strong. General Washington has great faith in our efforts and the men are ready to serve. Yet I cannot help but think of you as I sleep in my tent on the banks of the Delaware. We will defeat the English soon and I will return to your creme-filled embrace. Possibly jelly-filled if I'm having one of those "fruit paste" kinds of mornings. Definitely sprinkles. I love sprinkles.
Forever Yours,
Staff Corporal J. Luckingston
