Have you every really considered Lily Evans and Hermione Granger? Both are strong female characters in the Harry Potter series, but what makes them strong characters? Both are absolutely brilliant, both are hard workers, both are extremely loyal, both are magnificently stubborn, both have tempers that will make you cringe, and both would die for what they believe in. Although I haven't been tested for that last part, I believe that I too meet all of these qualities. Or at least try to anyways. I'm Crystal Chapman, and I got married March 20, 2010 to a young man in the U.S. Army National Guard. I love my country and my family, and work hard in my school work. I'm attending Southern Utah University currently to become a teacher. I'm a double major in Elementary Education and Math Education which means that by the time I'm finished I should be able to teach math K-12. My husband is a family services major studying to become either a Chaplain in the armed forces, or a family therapist. I tease him and say he can't be a Chaplain because then he would have to tell people is 'Chaplain Chapman' and they would die of laughter. I believe in hard work, and I will destroy my body to do something that I want. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and when I was 16 I went and pulled handcarts through Wyoming. While there I had a hand cart dropped on my toe. I was unable to walk so had to ride in the cart down the mountain. Because of this experience I have a bad back, but that doesn't stop me from working on the roof with my husband, clearing my yard so that I can plant vegetables, and playing all sorts of games that could easily be given up because of my back. I'm a firm believer in fighting for what you believe in, and I don't know the meaning of the word 'quit.' Once I get an idea into my head, you will be hard pressed to get me to drop it.
