I don't know about all the other stuff you said, but I do like DBZ.
Have you ever watched Lucky Star?
Its a whole bunch of slow paced talking, but I got through the whole series because I kinda related to them and its pretty funny.

Hells yea I like anime as well! blaugh Mostly comedies though. I can't stand romances or dramas
