Although the program has no set gender, the voice has a feminine sound to it, so most fan-arts portray VY1 as a female wearing a flowered pink kimono. No samples have been released of VY2 yet, it's assumed that the new voice bank will have a slightly masculine voice. While the point of the VY program is to give gender-less programs that can be used for any voice part and music genre, a character design that is unclear as to gender is planned to be released.
