Thankfully, the trolls hadn't spotted the tiny couple yet... For they were too busy hauling two more horses into a makeshift corral behind them.
"Mutton! Mutton! Mutton! Always mutton!"
"I'm sick of it!"
"Stop complaining!" Said the troll on the far left, narrowing his already beady, blank eyes as he inspected the pot full of...something.
The stench was beyond horrid, and after Bilbo pulled Bilbina quickly behind a bush, he tried to blink the tears from his eyes from the foul smell.

"Oh no, they've got the ponies!" Bilbo whispered urgently. Where was Fili and Kili!? His first instinct was to hightail it back to the camp where he could enlist some of the dwarves help to resolve the situation... but... oh, they wouldn't believe this! Trolls, taking the ponies! They'd call it lunacy!

"I...I think so..." Bilbo frowned, but it quickly corrected itself. "Is it Gandalf? He still hasn't returned!" The hobbit suddenly grew hopeful. Of course! Gandalf would never stray too far from the Company! And the ponies liked the benign wizard, it could be possible they were drawn to him and simply wandered off in that direction. "Come along!" Bilbo started to walk confidently towards the auburn glow, expecting to see the familiar friendly gray wizard...
He was not expecting three, giant cave Trolls

Bilbo looked back to the dwarves and dropped his shoulders when he found they had gone back to join the others. He looked nervously back at Bilbina and hoped she understood he couldn't go back and act...weak. He couldn't deny their request unless he could withstand this over his head forever. And Bilbo knew he'd never be able to. "It's very late... and dark... I understand if you would like to go back," Bilbo frowned, secretly hoping she wouldn't leave him alone to do this himself. In the distance, he thought he saw the flickering of a fire...

Bilbo looked to the dwarves for an explanation, but they were already busy with their stew. Bilbo frowned. "Apparently, Mertyl and Mintyl have gone missing. And they...would like us to investigate the matter," Bilbo translated what seemed like a foreign language from the uncertainty of his words. He looked helplessly around him for any help, but none came whatsoever.

A thump had the three spinning on their heels to see whatever it was. The three of them had grown incredibly anxious with the whole mystery of the ponies' disappearances. Bilbo sighed in relief when he saw it was only Bilbina, having nearly thrown stew all over the front of his shirt in his fright. Kili and Fili were less pleased to see her. The two dwarves looked at each other, each thinking exactly what the other had on his mind.
"Say, Baggins," Kili looked from Bilbo to Bilbina and back. "Why don't you go investigate. We'll be right here if you need us." Without a single moment for the hobbit to think between the lines, Fili snatched the bowls from his hands and grinned. "Go on!"
"We'll just be here!" Fili assured them.

Bilbo looked over at Bilbina, not at all comfortable with what just happened, but the dwarves nudged them along in the general direction of where the ponies had last been seen, each smiling encouragingly.

"The ponies..." Kili muttered.
"There are supposed to be sixteen.... but we've counted only fourteen." Fili responded with a similar frown.

Bilbo frowned, still holding the bowls, one in each hand, his eyes darting over every pony in sight. He frowned when he only counted fourteen as well. "Where's Myrtle and Mintyl?"

"S-sure," Bilbo stammered, raising an eyebrow at her suspicious oblivious-response. He smiled inwardly, taking the bowls and wandering in the general direction the two young dwarves had gone. To his current knowledge, they were supposedly watching the ponies so he made his way in the direction of the small horses gathered around the trees, grazing in small patches of green. He saw two silhouettes up ahead and the closer he drew to them, he could see that it was Kili and Fili.
"Here's some stew. Thought you'd might be....what's wrong?"
Fili frowned slightly, staring off into the distance on some fixed point Bilbo couldn't make sense from. The hobbit narrowed his eyes, perplexed. "What are we looking at?"

Bilbo widened his eyes as the dwarves kept coming back for seconds. He reached out a couple of times, not able to get words out but wanting to say something along the lines of "I don't think that's entirely edible!" and "I wouldn't do that!" but he never was able to make the words out. He watched in horror as the dwarves ate in jolly tempers and even commended on the cooking. Had they no sense of taste!? Bilbo looked at the pot suspiciously and sampled a small portion. It was...wonderful... but... he knew it had been ruined. How did this happen? He rubbed the back of his head, bewildered beyond belief. He looked over to Bilbina and caught her bright smile. Then, the oddest suspicion crosses his mind. He smiled shyly and looked her way.
"Thank you. For that."

Bilbo smelled his doom before he could lay eyes upon it.
"Bugger!" Bilbo said through his teeth, taking the pot from the fire and stirring madly at the burnt, globby mess. He put a hand on his forehead, rubbing his temples. The stew continued to burn and bubble, the hobbit turning to face it and shushing it as if it could hear him or even heed his direction. The dwarves began to pick up on the burning scent and it wasn't long before they found the source. All the while, the burglar turned a slight shade of pink, humiliated.

Bilbo frowned, looking where Gandalf had stood just moments ago. He averted his gaze only to look questioningly at the dwarves and finally Thorin and Bilbina. "What on middle-earth happened..." Bilbo frowned. He'd never seen Gandalf get so furious before...It was frightening. Discerning at the core.[/color]

Bilbo frowned, seeing Bilbina's reaction to his retort. He instantly felt a wave of regret and looked over at the hobbit. "I'm...I'm sorry," Bilbo frowned. "I shouldn't have been so curt... Could you help cut some of the carrots?" Bilbo asked with a small smile.
Gandalf continued to argue with Thorin, saying that his father had given him the key to give to Thorin and that it wasn't his fault it had taken so long to find him. The wizard grew increasingly annoyed until he suddenly turned around and began to walk away. Bilbo panicked and shouted after the wizard: "Gandalf, where are you going?! Gandalf!" "Away, Master Bilbo!" Gandalf shouted over his shoulder.

Bilbo was already flustered. He hadn't been able to start a fire with ease and was ridiculed by some of the dwarves and was the center of laughter for quite awhile before Thorin's sulking, gloomy figure caused all the dwarves to instead talk about the journey. Bilbo's hair was unkempt and he had soot on his nose from prodding the fire. "I can manage," the hobbit said. The last thing he needed was to be seen as the weak link and needing help from everyone. He didn't want to make things worse than they already were. He fell into a moment of silence, stirring the pot and cooking the meat. "How long will this journey be?" he muttered.

Gandalf muttered things under his breath while he smoked his pipe. Things about the stubbornness of dwarves and Thorin's inability to see through things.

Bilbo happily dismounted his pony, with much difficulty nonetheless. He plopped down, sliding off the saddle and nearly landing on his butt, but he did it. Kili still managed to snort and make a little jest about giving Bilbo a step stool next time. The hobbit didn't find it as amusing. Feeling quite out of place in the middle of all these dwarves, Bilbo gravitated towards Gandalf, watching Bilbina and how she seemed perfectly comfortable. "Gandalf, how long is this journey going to be?" Bilbo frowned.

Gandalf agreed with Thorin and helped set camp up. He stopped when Bilbo caught up to him, asking about the length of this journey. Gandalf removed his pipe and sat there for a few seconds, looking as if he were wording his response very carefully. "As long as it takes, Bilbo," the wizard replied, sticking the pipe back into his mouth. The hobbit looked like he was going to say something else and Gandalf prodded him towards the campfire. "The dwarves are very hungry, Bilbo. Perhaps you'd better make a stew." Bilbo looked reluctant, but he did as he was told.
[I'm sorry for the late reply DX]

Bilbo shakes his head firmly. "I can't do this..." he mutters to himself, watching Bilbina thoroughly enjoy herself. Bilbo had no idea how she did it.

"It's a long journey. A bit of eccentricity will do some good!" Gandalf stated with a nod.

Bilbo clutched the reins tightly as the pony trotted after its companion, much to his dismay. "Fun, right. Right," Bilbo laughed with a nervous air, his brows twitching in worry.

Gandalf smiled in his own little way, turning to look at Thorin, his gray beard blowing in a slight breeze. "Hobbits are incredibly light on their feet! And they never cease to amaze," the wizard said.

Bilbo teetered and tottered on the back of the pony, his legs swinging uselessly off the sides, hardly knowing what to do. He made a noise that sounded something akin to helplessness in response to Bilbina, making no coherent words to answer her. He was much too focused on trying not to fall off.

Gandalf prodded his horse gently with his heel, catching up to the front of the troupe where the wizard would remain for most of the journey. Gandalf was more or less the guide of the group, even if the dwarves knew the general direction of their home. "We've got a long journey ahead of us," the wizard rumbled.

Gandalf chuckled another of his deep, hearty laughs and set about on his horse. Bilbo, on the other hand, was much less amused with the situation. Thorin's tone didn't help at all, and before Bilbo could realize, a large muzzle was forced into his view and he physically took a step back. Ponies, no matter how small they are considered, were very intimidating to Bilbo. He stared it down as if it were some mangy, wild animal. "A pony... Oh, that won't be necessary! I can walk!" Bilbo held up his walking stick as proof, but a pair of strong hands behind him scooped him up and had him on the pony before he could say anything against it. It was the most unusual thing, riding atop a pony... He didn't even know what to do with the reins, so held them uselessly in his hands.
[Good plan! ^.^]

"There is no Baggins here unfortunately.... and glaring at a king is not the smartest thing to do miss..." He dropped down to her size he glared at her back. " Do you wish to be locked in a dungeon?" Thranduil tilted his head.

"Ah well..no I have not seen him... usually we have tea in the afternoons...." Thranduil looked at Bilbina as if he were confused a tad bit he thought this was some kind of a joke Baggins was pulling on him as he tilted his head. " Are you sure you are not Baggins in a dress...?" Thranduil questioned as he walked around her although the idea of baggins in a dress was funny to him.

"An adventure....?" Thranduil was sure enough taller then her as he looked down and then scanned the area for another Hobbit or the dwarves. "...Another adventure....what for hobbit? Gandalf did not warn me of such..." Thrandui artched a brow thinking there was something wrong with the middle earth once more but of course something was wrong. Mirkwood forest was dieing but only he knew that.
