Well, I have a tattoo and I've seen others with tats. Jewelry is worn. I think simplicity these days is just living within your means and excess is not necessary. Cleaning out what is truly not needed and donating it. When my daughter had a religion class and had to pick a church to go to and write about, she went to a meeting. She's actually never been as we didn't have a meeting house close to us when she was growing up. What she saw was an acceptance of everyone - people coming not dressed to the nines, leaning on each other during the quiet service. She loved it. If you're not comfortable talking to someone about it and you have a good bookstore (as in very large) near you, go see if they have books on Quakerism. The big chains have a larger religion section and you should be able to find something. Other than that, going on line would be your best bet to find out more. I guess these days, it doesn't surprise me that there is some discord. Even some of the meeting houses have adopted a more guided approach to service (altho I prefer the original way). We all believe the basic tenets of Quakerism, just how we think politically makes us liberal or conservative.

Don't be afraid to ask the questions. They shouldn't mind answering questions to someone truly curious about it. First and foremost, we are Quakers. Since it is our personal conscious that drives us to our personal conclusions, I've never heard of any denigration of one "faction" to another. It's more some of the political views that put on the labels.

Tis fine ^.^ Uhmmm...I'm moving on Tuesday for good, and I need a month for my parents to get me a new laptop soooo.....Soon we shall go back to normal razz Me misses you soooooo muchies. Tell Tywer I said hai, but that his namesake, Tyler the hermit crab, has passed on >.< cause my stupid other hermit crab eated him D: But me still loves my wittwe buddy. Tyler had a nice funeral with me, and he's all happy by a river in a little box with flowers and stoofs. Gotta run, tho, afore I get caught on Gaia V.V <3 <3 <3

Sorry, they blocked everything and THEN they got rid of the computer teacher, making it physically impossible for me to use unblocked internet -.-. *throws hissy fit* The group home opens on July 21st (It's brand-spankin-new FTW!) and I'ma be the firstest one there. They're visiting me on the 22nd, I'ma do a few passes there, then I'ma go. My parents are gonna get me a new laptop when i go! Aaaaaaaand I'll have a connection in my bedroom. It's like, win-win-win situation for meh! *does happy dance* I shall be back in a month tops ^.^ Me loveth you sooooo much! <3
