Greetings Gaian! I'm Kurikins. You can just call me Kuri, though. I'm 17 years old. Like my avatar, I'm a girl. (Unlike my avatar, I do not have vibrant red hair) I like lots of different things and love meeting new people, so if you've got decent grammar and a few spare brain cells, feel free to send me a PM.
smile My first interest is writing. Unlike most people who list "writing" as an interest, I'm actually doing my best to make it my career. I don't just write fanfiction or whatever random stuff comes into my head at the moment. Not that there's anything wrong with that, (in fact I participate in NaNoWriMo regularly) I just don't like it when people call themselves writers when really all they're doing is putting down a lot of pointless crap on paper and expecting people to like it automatically. Posers and hypocrites are kind of a pet peeve of mine.
I also really love video games, though unfortunately I don't usually have the money to buy any. Thankfully there's a library nearby, so I can at least support my book habit. I usually enjoy fantasy, but I've been known to wander into mystery, sci-fi, and Elizabethan history. I don't read non-fiction much.
My fourth and most prevalent interest is podcasting. I don't have a show of my own, but I live and breathe podcasts. I subscribe to over twenty podcasts right now, and will probably have about five more by the time I'm finished writing this list. I also subscribe to a couple of G4 Videocasts so I can get my X-play fix at any time of day or night. XD If you like podcasts too, please feel free to send me a PM. If you don't know what podcasts are, I strongly suggest you go to Wikipedia and find out! Podcasts are wonderful. You can learn anything you want to from a podcast, including how to speak another language to how to become a writer, game designer, comic book artist...I could go on...
And finally, I love my cooking. When my family first moved to Tennessee, I tuned into Food Network on the hotel television to stave off death via boredom, and I've been hooked on cooking ever since. I'm even working on my own cookbook, by a teen for teens. I cook something every day and I love it. I can't wait until I have a kitchen of my own with which to experiment.
Well, that's me in a nutshell. I'd ask you to get me out, but it's actually pretty cozy in here.
