About
I am Kathryn Williams (formerly Shinigami_Shimai), wife of Kim Williams (theredwolf_13) and she considers me her Prince, hence the new nick here. Yes, we are lesbians and I love my wife very much and we are legally married. She is originally from Rhode Island and myself from Toronto, Ontario, Can. After six months of dating online I asked her to come out to visit for Pride. We pretty much could not live without each other after that first weekend and made plans for her to live with me here in Canada just to see how things would work out. Her parents were very accepting and took me into the family with open arms, which is weird considering my parents kicked me out at age 16 and pretty much want nothing to do with me. I went out to RI to be with Kim for two weeks and then we packed up her things and her parents drove us back to my place. We have been together ever since. We have been living together since August 2004 and got married on Jan. 29th 2005, on the anniversary of the first day we met online. Since people keep asking, we got married here in Canada. It is legal all across Canada for same sex marriages.
In my work life. I'm actually disabled by PTSD due to many traumatic events that occurred during my past. As such it was deemed that I would never be able to work, however I decided otherwise. I graduated from art school and created my own small business for self publishing my lesbian comic book. After 5 years of writing constantly every month and a number of conventions I decided to move to writing novels, which turned out to suit my style of story telling a lot better.
With help from my sweetie we run a lesbian forum, LJ community, Gaia Guild and occasionally host lectures at conventions and the like. We hope by creating all these places around here and there we can give youth more places to be themselves and realize that it is not wrong to be gay.
