Hello. I am Bart, and I lead a small and once successful roleplay guild called the Catastrophe Clan. You may be wondering as to why I am telling you this, (which I will address in a second) but for now, just pay attention to what I have to say.

A year ago, I started a guild called the Catastrophe Clan. It lasted for about a year, and then it died off. My vision for that guild was for it to be a successful and powerful roleplay guild on Gaia. I soon realized that its purpose was a little farfetched, and that it wasn’t structured well enough. I am still regretting my failure.

Now, how do you fit into this? Well, I am currently recruiting members into my guild to grow it, and make it larger and more popular. But, I have a different agenda to fulfill with it.

For a couple years now, Gaia’s roleplay hasn’t fully maximized its potential. Because there are so many guilds, the roleplay community has split itself into tiny parts amongst Gaians, preventing a larger and more successful roleplay community. And generally when people start these small guilds, they turn out to be a failure. Let me tell you how it generally works:

1. Someone starts a guild, (maybe with a friend).

2. They then invite a bunch of their friends to join their guild so they can all roleplay together.

3. From here, two things can happen: 1. either the leader stops being active, or the members stop being active. Why? Well, no one truly knows, but my best guess would be because of lack of interest in Gaia, real life issues such as school or bills,-- there are many different variables.

4. Now, after the guild goes inactive you have what I like to call, ‘A Waste of Space.’ The guild just sits there, with latent potential members, who probably are some of the most fun roleplayers ever. But you never know about them because people start guilds without proper guidance.

You’re probably wondering how I know this. Maybe you aren’t, but I’ll tell you anyway. You see, I’ve been on Gaia for 3 years, (since ’07), and I’ve seen this process repeat itself, and repeat itself. And to be honest, I’m tired of it, which is why you are reading this message right now.

I am here to re-establish a stronger and united roleplay community. Because I think if we all join together, Gaia’s roleplay system can be stronger and brighter.

I know a lot about how guilds work. I’ve ran many guilds, and its all based on dedication. That’s the #1 cause of success with guilds, and its also the #1 cause of failure in guilds. I’ll admit, I don’t always stay dedicated. Maybe I want to go to the mall one day. Or maybe I have a lot of homework to work on. I get it, and it makes sense. We’re all human. We have needs outside of a computer screen. But if we all lean on each other, we can assume a stronger attitude to better Gaia roleplay.

Now, enough of me introducing the topic, let me get to the point:

I am recruiting members into my guild, the Catastrophe Clan. The guild right now is in shatters. Most of our members are gone, the posts are old, it’s a mess. I am working on getting new graphics for the guild, and I’ve already updated the forums.

This is an offer of a lifetime. I am offering you a spot in my guild. I want you to join my guild, I want your friends to join my guild, and I want it to evolve into our guild. It will take time, but the best things come slowly.

If you choose to join, here is a brief overview of the guild:

* This is a roleplay guild.

* If you join, you will be required to roleplay.

* If you join, you cannot be in any major roleplay guilds.

* If you are new to roleplay, you will be taught so that you can participate more in the roleplay areas of the guild.
