Your argument that evil is necessary and therefore good is flawed. Contrast does not create, it only heightens. Sunny days would still exist without cloudy ones, and Good would still exist without Evil. The only difference would be the description.



Yet neither would exist if it wasn’t for the loss of innocence and the exercise of free will. As a champion of the Light I protect the innocent, those yet unaware of the extent and consequences of free will. As a champion of Justice I defend against those that would exercise free will as a tool to commit true evil, seeking to destroy the innocence and free will of others.
