In my search for ghosts and rumors about them I have come across many tales, a few of which I would like to document here. The following come from Great Britain and one has been confirmed by a friend of mine, the other has not been tested.The first one is about a man who killed his wife, the rumor is that if you walk out into the woods at midnight and find a platform you walk up onto it and wait for a half hour and you will get to talk to this guy for another half hour, then he will go away and you can leave, after 15 minuets has gone by. After 15 minutes you walk away you will hear the man crying, but don't turn around. He will kill you if you see him crying. If you stay on the platform for another half hour after he leaves he will kill. According to my friend he is just a sad fellow who hasn't killed any one else so far and doesn't want to.
The following has not been confirmed.
Take two cigarets into a public bath house, turn off the lights, and sit across from a mirror. Light your cigaret and let it smoke for a half hour. After that a shadow figure will appear beside you and will want a smoke, light the second cigaret and give it to the figure, the embers will become the eyes of the figure, and you can ask it anything you want, and it will tell you the answer, in exchange for your soul. Whatever you do do not let it finish the cigaret. Once you have asked it all that you want to, take your strong hand and swipe both of the embers where his eyes are and grasp them in your hand. There will be burning searing pain, but you must not open you hand. Wait until the pain has gone away completely and wait until you are in the light to open you hand. On you hand there should be four burn marks, two for the embers, two for the eyes. From then on never open that hand in the dark again, because the shadow will be able to find you.
