Heh, yeah. It was made awhile ago...
When I was young I was absolutely fascinated by it. The way the ships appeared, the Solar Surfers, the scenery, the character appearances....
Now that I watch it again at an older age, I find it even more fascinating; The functioning of the ships, watching Silver's arm work - sometimes up close when the camera gives the chance, jokes that I now understand ("Dang it, Jim I'm an astronomer not a doctor!" = Star Trek reference XD), and other things.
I forgot just how much I adore that movie. It has everything I love in it and is based off a wonderful story ^^
Heh, I just saw it again last night cause my parents rented it and my friend hadn't seen it, so I made them watch it while they were over last night.

It was really funny at one point cause I'm making a RL Silver costume and I told him that I'm dressing up as one of the characters in the movie.
When he saw Amelia, he guessed her - cause I'm a girl - and I said no. He told me to point out who it was.
After watching Silver's entire introduction scene (and he agreeing that Silver's arm is fantastic XD), I told him I was being Silver and he looked at me with this incredibly confused expression XDD
Take note, he looks a lot more like Silver than I do in a variety of ways;
-He's actually kinda tall while I'm short and he's a big dude
-He's male while I'm female
-He's sorta chubby while me, being a female, even though I'm a little chubby myself it's not nearly the same
-He has a big nose while I don't
-He has slight facial hair and can easily get the 5 o'clock shadow Silver has
And he knows all this. He said it himself XDD
Oh god it was funny....x'D

I Love that movie! So much that when I remembered just how much I adore it I couldn't stop thinking about it for days upon days!
Heh, I'm still counting the days in fact! xD
Also, it has led me to a costume in RL that I know as a fact I will push and plow to complete, no matter the fact that my stature, voice, and gender all contradict with the possible visual and vocal perfection of the costume!
I'm doing it anyway cause Mr. Silver is that awesome! >XD
