Welcome to my profile,
I am Amy Rickardsdottir.
I am 18 years of age and live just outside aged Hrothwulfston, near Deoraby. There I work and live in mundane yet comfortable peace.
My days are spent primarily enjoying music. I favour Metal, Power Metal to be exact. Though the Folk variety is a close contender. I also listen to a large cross section of related genres and quite a lot of hard rock. To be fair I will enjoy anything that takes my fancy – bands I have a particular soft spot for are as follows: Blind Guardian, Edguy, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Gamma Ray and Turisas.
I am intensely interested in history; obviously I prefer the exciting parts, namely the Viking age. I’ve grown up surrounded by Viking history (the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia having been under Danish reign for some time) and I show this love by hitting people with swords in my spare time. Furthermore I plan on taking a University course in Runology and Viking archaeology – as well as studying Scandinavian languages in several years time. My other ‘geeky’ passions include an obsession with the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien and an addiction to ‘The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’ (Yeah, Lvl.30 Nord Barbarian, sign of the Warrior - for those in the know). I can often be found traversing the length and breadth of Britain to see people and go to gigs. Recent show highlights include Turisas and Battlelore in London, Bloodstock Open Air in Derbyshire and Wacken Open Air in northern Germany.
