when did you go? where? anybody play with them?
well, it was only two miles, so it was relatively easy ((though we were stupid and hiked in with deadwieght in the form of firewood))
the freakiest part was being hissed at by an alligator on the trail ((we were in a prarie for crying out, there weren't even ditches for a few miles away))
and judging from a distantce, the thing was 5-6 ft. ((odd thing was that it just didn't want to get out of that one patc of trail, so we ended up backing up and going through the brush a ways))
