The Second Horseman

The bible doesn't need to be tweaked in order to be a good story, it's considered one of the five great epic poems in history. The problem I have with faith based groups is that they structure their entire belief system and moral code around a collection of stories that are thousands of years old. Religion is corrupt, it's an invention and vestige of man made origins so it's bound to be corrupt. I have no problem with people believing what they believe, it's when they allow their judgements and emotions to be ruled by a faith and when they then push that belief system upon me. Look at Abstinence Only programs here in the states, that is a direct bi-product of religion influencing secular life. Abstinence Only is an archaic and defunctory system that does more harm than good.

The Bible is a collection of stories that were told orally for generations before being written onto parchment. Even then, the Bible that everyone recognizes today isn't complete. Entire books were omitted in order to give a singular view the church wanted to present. To say it's mythology might be stretching it as it is for the most part an accurate oral history of a group of people, but it doesn't upset me. No one can currently prove there was a physical messiah walking around, or that he died and rose again. I'm not as well versed in Bible lore as some, but I'm not as ignorant as others.

The Second Horseman is War. Some cultures have labeled that particular horseman as the Prince of Darkness, so Satan, Lucifer etc. As far as I know Mephistopheles was a fallen Angel who sided with Lucifer when he chose to war with god.
