i did have another good idea come to me though. last night actually. i was thinking that as Balthier starts to lose it more & more, becomes a hot mess & all of that, Fran tries to help him but you know that old saying, you can't make someone change unless they want to.
so, Fran ends up leaving him, since she doesn't want to watch him basically destroy himself. she actually cares X3 so yea. when they finally run into each other again, he'll be that much worse off since he doesn't have anyone around him X3

ahem.
but yea i agree. it can be useful, but it's either relied on as some miracle, or taken so completely out of context that it makes it into something i'm guessing is rather far from it's intended use XP
i know it can get people through hard times, & i get that, but i don't like relying on things. i'd rather just be strong myself, & get through it. even though i mean...i guess i'm a hypocrite since i had Sam when i was going through my drug issues, but he was still realistic with me. he was there for me but he still told me that it was hard work & it wasn't going to happen like magic. i think a lot of people get way too into the bible & religion & assume it will solve all of their issues without any work of their own. that's annoying.

i mean in theory, yea, it could work. that's what is supposed to be taught. but, since the bible is mainly open to interperatation & how it is applied today, humans make it what they want, & sadly can justify certain aspects of it & take things entirely out of context just for their own personal benefit. that's why i don't like it. the idea behind it is good but sadly it will never happen like that. humans corrupt it.
like how they use certain excerpts against same sex marriage, or other equality, but the overall message of the bible is to love each other & to treat others with compassion & stuff. they ignore that part, & only use what they want to speak against it. so i don't want to subscribe to that warped a** view. not for me. if the 'god' everyone believes in can hate only certain people because of aspects that they cannot control, regardless if they are a good person or not, then i'm not going to believe in that. i'd rather believe in nothing.

xD i mean, i feel like in some ways i'm so educated that believing in things like that, the 'story' or whatever, seems ridiculous. not that i think i'm above it but i think i know enough now that i just wouldn't put much stock in a book. people use it as an escape. plus, it's so damn corruptible. people start wars & other political bullshit over religion. i wouldn't want to put my name to something that is so a** backwards & used as an excuse to do whatever the ******** i want. just my opinion.
i need to restart my laptop too so i posted, but i'll be right back.
