About

Hello, everyone.

My name's Daniel, and I'm basically a new addition to the Gaian community.
Believe it.

The following are a list of facts that you might want to know, before becoming an associate of mine.

I am 17 years young.

I am still in High School.

I can be pretty friendly, if you were to get to know me.

I have a sarcastic sense of humor, at times.

I can be very cynical.
I suppose my username suggested that much about me.

I love rainy days/storms. They're very relaxing, in my opinion.

I'd like to think of myself as a "tall" person.
5"9, to be exact.

I love sweet things.
Candy, cake, tea, ice cream, etc.

Honestly, if it wasn't for an abnormally fast metabolism, I'd probably weigh a ton. 0:

I'm fairly athletic.
After all, I run on a daily basis.

I love listening to swing, classical, and jazz music.
Depending on the artist, I might listen to rock and techno, too.

I am a self-proclaimed writer.
Writing stories and poetry is like breathing to me.

I'm very open minded.

You just be glad that I clean what I can actually see of this stupid room. I think it's a little too much to ask of me to clean what I can't see. O=

I've never read The Picture of Dorian Gray, but I'm hoping to eventually read all of Oscar Wilde's books. Did you know that he was voted one of the most witty people of his time? Of all time? If he hadn't been a flaming homosexual, and if I'd been alive in his time, we'd totally . . . get along.

xP

And hey, I did change what I said to sexy beast, you know. But yeah, it is rather cute and cuddly. For some pixels, anyway. It's just the hair and the leaves and the lack of a way-too-brown shirt that does it, I think. Don't you like cute and cuddly? O=

That description of your teacher does sound rather like mine. She was my English teacher last semester, senior year. She was a little more . . . subtle with her enjoyment of student suffering, though. Lots of students liked her because she didn't vocalize her hatred, but I could always see it, burning a hole through every student's head. She sort of gave me the *********. o.o

Have you started up school again? Like, have you gotten off of Christmas break? Er, if your school even has a Christmas break. >.<

Thank goodness for sticky notes. Although, for some odd reason, I always end up losing the sticky notes I use. It's like, I stick it to the fridge in my bedroom and come back later and it's gone. o.o And it's not like anyone goes into my room, so it just disappears!

. . . I probably have an entire collection of used sticky notes underneath the stupid fridge.

I think you'll like The Importance of Being Earnest more than Fahrenheit 451, so you should read that one first. It's a play, not really a book, but it's the best damn play I've ever read.

Here's a quick quote from it: "To lose one parent, Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."

Not the best there is, but it's the first one that came to mind. xP

Making me laugh is a great feat! You truly should feel proud. Or at the least, accomplished!

Yeah, I never really thought that too much brown was possible either, but behold! That shirt definitely proves its existence. But now that it's not on, you've got such a cute and cuddly avatar!

. . . Erm -coughs-

I meant, such a sexy beast of an avatar!

I might get my teacher to laugh, but I'm not sure. She's the type of teacher who only really enjoys her job when she's strangling her student's souls right out of them. I dunno if I want my soul strangled just yet. >.<

Well as long as you laugh, I suppose I could give it a shot. C=

You probably won't regret checking it out. Tell me what you think about the book when you do! I've only had one other friend read it, and the poor girl just looked confused at the end. I really didn't see the confusing side that she obviously saw, but I guess we all read things differently. C=

"Since when are you a fashion critic?"

Haha, Daniel makes me laugh! I actually laughed! Good job!

And . . . technically, I've never quite been a fashion critic. But that doesn't mean I don't have the natural eye for fashion. I can just pick up on the things that work and the things that don't. That shirt's just too brown! For serious.

You don't need a new shirt. You just need to take that one off. Hehe, I just think you're meant not to have a shirt. It looks more natural.

I'll be sure to tell you if I remember it. I might be able to ask my teacher when I go back to school this Tuesday. I dunno how I'll word the question, of course, but I'll think of something other than, "Hey, do you remember that ridiculous poem about a tree . . . er, excuse me, about the creative process?"

Yeah, that very same Oscar Wilde! I seriously think you'll love The Importance of Being Earnest. Nearly every line is quote worthy. He's a comedic, sarcastic genius, I think. You simply must read it! It's got loads of cynicism. So much of it that you won't know what to do with yourself.

Yeah, I've never really been into science fiction much either. But it's a pretty good book. It can become confusing with the way it's written, but it does a great job of showing the world as a censored hunk of desensitized rock. Leaves a sort of bitter after shock. At least it did with me.

Yeah, your avatar is quite classy without a shirt. That's only what I've been saying for the last several hours! xP

But the brown is a slightly different shade than the rest of the brown. It clashes. v_v

You tease, you!

The writer's choice of words when it came to the tree absolutely disappointed me. The writer had issues with that poem. I almost wish I could remember the title so that you could see how horrendous it is, and how confusing, but I don't think I'll put you through that particular torture. C=

I know, I know, I'm so nice.

Romance is always fun to write. So long as it doesn't end up corny or unrealistic or too fast. And while tragedy isn't as much fun, it's cool to read sometimes.

Have you ever read The Importance of Being Earnest? It's a play by Oscar Wilde.

Have you ever read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury? It's all about trying to prevent censorship by showing how the world would be if everything was censored. It's quite good, I think. No, I've never seen the White Album thing. I'm assuming it's about something that the US would consider taboo, though.

Yeah, I like emphasizing the shirt thing. It's fun! C=

But I think your avatar looks more classy without the shirt. Take off the shirt. D<

Hehe . . . not to sound commanding or anything.

After someone explains the symbolism, sometimes I think it's quite clever. I enjoy it after it's explained. But can I help it if my mind simply doesn't know how to pick up on the subtle? I've made so many bad grades in school due to my inability to understand symbolism. We read a poem once about a tree. Well I thought it was about a tree. Apparently it was actually about the importance of the creative process. I just happened not to catch that, so I wrote my analysis about a tree.

It's almost like if you think of the most random thing to connect the tree to in the poem, then it would be correct. I would have made a better grade if I would have said something ridiculous. How can a tree stand for the creative process? o.o

But I meant, do you write nonfiction or fiction?

Hehe, maybe it's a good thing that topless women are against the law. I'm not sure it's a sight I want to see. I guess I'm just more accustomed to seeing people clothed, so seeing everyone naked would be a little awkward for me O=

Society has tainted me. v_v

Hey, I like your new profile! Very classy. Just like your attire (even though you're wearing no shirt). I didn't know you like to write. I'm a writer too. What types of genres do you prefer? I absolutely hate writing poetry, but reading it is okay. So long as I have someone around to explain what the heck is going on. I'm much more blunt, so most symbolism is completely lost on me. >.<

Okay. As long as we're clear that I'm entitled to go around topless, it's all good. I don't want to, but I like to know that I could if I felt the urge. xP

More females should feel free enough to walk around topless, I think. Or is that against some kind of law? o.o
