I'm an Al Bhed. At the start of the journey, Al Bhed were greatly disliked by many, and prejudiced against, simply because our actions and beliefs opposed Yevon's. At that point in time, Yevon's teachings were the most popular and accepted belief. The people of Spira either obeyed Yevon's teachings or leaned towards the beliefs of the Al Bhed. I was born into the Al Bhed lifestyle and wouldn't transfer over to Yevon, even if given the choice.
Being an Al Bhed, I experienced prejudice more than once in my life. One time, Auron asked me to look him in the eye, knowing that Al Bhed have swirls around their pupil, in order to confirm his suspicion of me being an Al Bhed. I became hesitant and even appeared ashamed. Later on, Wakka threw a fit, after discovering my heritage, and refused to even be near me. My experience with prejudice against me is why I was emotionally distance, at the start. Particularly, when I first met Tidus. Tidus showed me that not everyone is discriminatory about my race.
Yevon and Al Bhed beliefs switched roles in popularity. Al Bhed is the new way of life. Our language is spoken all over Spira and Al Bhed are no longer largely discriminated against. I feel strongly about my way of life and my people. I'm a very traditional person and loyal to the Al Bhed, no matter how popular our lifestyle is.
My family is my dad and brother, along with my cousin Yunie! ...My mom died. My dad, Cid, has many personality traits that are similar to mine. Despite having similar personalities, we argue quite a lot. My dad always carries out actions which he believes to be right, and I, usually, have an opposite stance on the issues he tries to fix. We, constantly, bicker, but we love each other anyway. My dad is always there when I need him the most; and after being scolded by me, my dad, often, ends up taking my advice. Cid, naturally, wants what's best for me and Brother, even if he, sometimes, has a hard time communicating with me.
When I was a kid, I went with Brother into the water to attack a monster. While, attacking, Brother used a lightening attack and it hit me instead of the monster. This left me with a phobia of thunderstorms. I have overcome my fear of thunder by camping out in the Thunder Plains. I never held a grudge against my brother for what he did, because I'm a very forgiving person. Brother and I rarely ever agree and are, constantly, nitpicking at each other, but we love each other anyway.
I think, a lot, about my future. I want to marry young and have many children, so that all of them will have plenty of brothers and sisters!
You can, always, count on me to speak my mind, even if what I'm thinking doesn't make sense to anyone but myself. I, often, blurb out things that sound childish or only make sense to me, and will often overreact or blow simple things out of proportion. I'm extremely affectionate; you can always count on me for support! I'll give you a hug, when you're depressed, even if I've never seen you before. I don't like to see anyone sad.
I care a great deal for Yunie! Ever since she came into my life, she has been my first priority! If you're reading this, hi Yunie!
The best way to sum up my personality is upbeat and affectionate! I know when I can party and act childish, but unlike a child I know responsibility.
I used to be the little girl of the group. I was loud, nosy, and always had an opinion on something. I was very inexperienced, in the world of Spira. I was hesitant, in certain things, and trusting people I didn't know was something I was, still, getting used to. When I first met Tidus, I knocked him unconscious, just in case he was a "bad guy." I'm sorry, again, Tidus! I didn't even start speaking Japanese/English to him, until he was taken prisoner onto my ship. I was used to my own people. Trusting someone I didn't know was, pretty much, out of the question. I, often, refused to take part in activities and preferred to be left behind, such as the journey through Thunder Plains and the Farplain. I tried to look at the bright side to life but as far as making changed to the darker side, I just didn't have the motivation.
I have traveled throughout Spira countless times; I know the places and the people, unlike before. I'm, not, open to anything and everything. I'm 100% outgoing! I am open to meeting new people and will, easily, strike up journey. I really put myself out there and don't hold back like I used to.
