Laura Doyle is my name! Sounds like a good way to start off.
I am 16 and, for those who can't count, currently in grade 11. Luckily for me every new year I go into I am the proper age; my birthday is August 11th, right smack-dab in the middle of summer.
So, I don't really care what you call me. That is nickname-wise or even labels as well; if you label me, good for you because personally I don't care. Labels are for soup cans, not for people.

I love to read and write! It's my major weakness in conversation, sometimes I can go on forever. Frankly, it's how I came to Gaia in the first place. I started as a crappy writer and have improved majorly. I role-play a lot and its how I keep up my writing, though I haven't been able to keep up that well lately with school AND two jobs. I need to find someone who can hold my attention firmly. So basically for writing I want to be an author when I grow older, even though choosing a career is not that far from my fingertips.
I also love to make amv's. My friend and I always used to watch them when YouTube was still a baby. I remember thinking "I wish I could do that", and now I can, and do for that matter. Not to sound cocky either, but I'm pretty good at them. Sadly I have not been able to publish a lot of my works and most were deleted before reaching the net.
Music, oh how I love my music, haha. My favorite genres are mostly scremo and alternative. But currently gothic rock seems to have a firm hold on my tastes and won't be letting go any time soon. On the other hand I also love instrumentals and classical music. Blasting speakers to soft orchestras is quite a puzzle for my parents. But it's obvious which they prefer, they never hide that. OH, and I hate rap for it has lost all its meaning. Sex, drugs and money are not 'important', they're pathetic, stupid and degrading to women mostly.
Video games are awesome! I'm not ashamed to say I have a love for video gaming, it's actually one of the reasons I'm saving for an Alienware and why I have an xbox360 elite. I will spend decent money for things I care for. At the moment one of my favorite games would be oblivion. I hated it at the start because I didn't get it! But now I do and I can rarely be torn away from the television. However, no game shall beat my love for fable. I can't even count the amount of times I've beaten the game. Though, I do know for sure it goes over our eight fingers and two thumbs. I would nearly jump out of my own skin every day fable two came closer to its release date, however I was disappointed to find that they slipped up on its sequel. Too many glitches. Though, I do know for sure it goes over our eight fingers and two thumbs.
I like the sun and frankly I hate the cold. But I also hate it when it gets too hot. For me the whole weather thing is a big dilemma. I would love if it could just stay at 23 degrees, with a slight breeze, forever.
Strangely if it came down to the choice between dying in the desert or at the north/south pole, I'd choose the poles. I would rather freeze then burn, bubble and boil while having birds trying to eat you.
My friend and I also have strange obsessions with bondage.

I LOVE storms, they help me sleep. And that’s not just anything for me, I always have trouble falling asleep. Once I get into that four walled room in the darkness, all alone with my thoughts ... THEY NEVER SHUT UP! I yell at Shannon for being able to shut off that little voice -.-"

I hate stupid people who hate themselves when there are people with far more important problems: the starving, sick little children in Africa don’t complain about 'the guy you like dating some girl you hate, when really you don't even know her.'

I'm not too outgoing, and I swear I am socially challenged (people say I never seem like the shy person I claim to be, but that’s only because I hide it well and force myself to go outside of my comfort zone) but I do make friends, and have plenty of them. I'm not a loner.
So if you want to role-play, message me. Please be literate though. But please don't friend request me if I've never talked to you before. I hate getting random requests from people I don't know.
