Nah, German pronunciation's easy once you learn the alphabet - there's no trick letters in German, really. Once you know the alphabet and a few key sounds (such as ei, ie, au and the umlauts) you can pretty much pronounce any German word confidently even if you've never seen it before.

Now, it's the grammar you have to watch out for. German grammar would chase your elderly grandmother down the street and beat her up for her handbag. : (

Or maybe I just find the grammar harder than most people.

I agree... I was contemplating going to live in Germany when I'm older (since I'm studying German), and I know I definitely want to travel a lot, but I'm not sure whether I could handle actually living in a different country. I like England. :B

The architecture in Bavaria is amazing. I love all the old style houses. And of course Neuschwanstein Castle. I went there (and went on a tour around it). It really is a fairytale castle, and on the day I went the fog was so thick, you couldn't see anything more than 3 feet away. Looking up at it from the town below the mountain it's on, it was veeeery creepy and atmospheric, shrouded in the fog.
