Well, Soren (a barn owl) tries to hop to a few branches with his brother, Kludd, when they can't even fly yet. They fall by accident and when they try to get their nest snake's attention (Mrs. Plitiver is a nest snake, yes, owls have those so they don't have to clean up their hollows), two huge owls snatch them away and take them, along with other flightless owlets like Gylfie (elf owl) and take them to an 'academy' for orphans. There, only barn owls get to keep their minds while everyone else gets hypnotized (what they call 'moon blinked'). Luckily, Gylfie and Soren escape, and they fly as far as they can. When they land, they meet up with Digger (a burrowing owl) and Twilight (Great Gray owl). They also find Mrs. P and start to fly towards the Sea of Hoolemere, and to the Great Tree, where the Guardians of Ga'Hoole reside. They reach the tree and warn the guardians of the academy and want them to save all the poor owlets, including Soren's brother Kludd, and his sister Eglantine.
I'll stop there. I hate my descriptive powers, being a writer.... But I also hate ending spoilers.

Go see it. And then read it, that's actually what I'm doing. I'm not angry at all that the movie is not like the books, which is unusual for me, since I hate that with a passion. They have legitimate reasons for why some of the things were changed and I'm okay with that. heart The first book is called "Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The Capture" I recommend watching and reading the series with all my heart.

And now I'm impatient....anime/manga fans are never happy....
So, I went to see the Guardians movie, and I LOVED IT! I give it an A+ on effort on the whole movie, effects, music, etc. But it was nowhere near what the books were. Nyra was in the movie even though she doesn't appear til halfway in the series, ST. Aegolis Academy for Orphaned Owls was not very pushed upon, and Digger and Twilight came in at the same time. But it was still amazing! It was awesome and I'd never thought Hollywood could make owls seem bad a**, but props to the studio of Happy Feet who proved me wrong! *applause*

The Italy we normally see is South Italy, and his twin brother is North Italy. North Italy is a bit colder and more distant. Hahah
