Mats for Kokeshi Kimono: 1250 (silk) + 225 (recipe) + 500 (mystic weave) + 1200 (thread) + 300 (pink fluff) + 60 (lace) + 1633 (gold) = 5168g or so. It sells for 16k on an average day which leaves your gross profit around 10,500
Barton Regulars boots: 25 (rubber) + 45 (leather) + 25 (cured hide) + 2 (bronze) + 30 (snake eyes) + 1633 (gold) = 1760g. They sell for about 20k on the average day for a profit closer to 18k.
Just a suggestion *shrug*. The kimonos will sell quicker and take 6 fewer null fragments but only for a fraction of the profit. The Barton Regulars armor sells for 35k but I'm hesitant to try making it because the recipe alone is about 12k.

So, based on the price of evolving items in the marketplace, $1.00 irl will get you about 10,000 gaia gold...as opposed to old monthly collectibles, where $2.50 would get you 20k in a good month. So...yeah, if you're ever low on gold, invest in some EIs and make yourself look snazzy!
