Dear Ms. Catastrophe,

I hesitate to even pen this missive to you, fearful of my employer's discovery. However, I find it most unfair that such a dear friend as you are to our mutual acquaintance to be left only with lies and false smiles.

The mysterious giftings have been rampant in this part of Town for over a month, but the times you should only be concerned about to discover to truth start from this past Monday, the 5th of May to yesterday, the 6th of May. Amid all the whimsical drops of wrapped boxes were three particular gifts that come from my usually openly-generous employer.

I cannot say how much he had remaining from his month's worth of generosity, but it was enough to offer three gifts of some weight, gold-wise. The first was the most expensive while the last was the least. Suffice to say, my paycheque for the month will be just as shameful as it was at the end of the last.

I don't have much time to relate to you much more information, as I hear the turning of the key to the door. All I can say before he discovers my use of his pen and paper is that you were on the correct scent on Monday and that two gifts were clandestinely left at the club drawing room of one lady and the third left at the table for a second lady in the exclusive Sky cafe.

I wish you the best of luck at solving this case and request that he remain ignorant of part in aiding your investigation. You will find, I hope, this whole matter to be absurdly simple.

Thanks. I'll have to edit some of it sooner or later because the wording's a bit off.

Yeah, I'm actually working slowly towards a Holmes pastiche I might publish someday. It's still in the planning stage, though...since I haven't had the time to do all the Victorian research that I have to. I pop out a fanfic once in awhile to toy with ideas, but lately all my fanfics have been Star Trek or HP-based because they are more contemporary and simply easier to write as their jargon is familiar to me. o-o;

Anyway, wait for the next comment and I'll give you a witness account riddled with holes to make this particular game a bit more Holmesian.

Not to worry, I wouldn't make you go through all that nonsense if there wasn't a reward at the end. XD 'sides, it's not a real mystery...just a whimsical little matter not without points of interest.

Don't expect that short story to be spectacular. I just read it and cringed to be honest. Wrote it in twenty minutes flat so I could submit it on time. -smert-

Don't forget to examine the splashes of mud on my shoes and the sleeve of my shirt.

Also, contrary to popular belief, I don't write much slash. XD Only when it came to that star trek gift and another short. Also there was like two others in the HP realm (Snupin upon request). I generally don't write slash pairings on my own.

Actually, no. I've never written a slash story with the two before because I am really intimidated by the Victorian setting. I've only written a silly easter short featuring the two.

Anyway, too damned tired to try to work with the stupid vampire teeth again, so I'm going to my alternate prom avy for now.

And yes, I did AB. However, you didn't get everything right. I AB'd three times aside from Sikh--you need to tell me which three items I AB'd. =P

I had to do something with the teeth. Unfortunately the human base grey eyes don't work. Also, layering issues when I had it in his hands. I'll work on it some more.

By the way, there is fanfiction contradicting your claim that Holmes wouldn't do it. XD /shot
