That's apl.de.ap from Black Eyed Peas, real name Allan Pineda. In the album Elephunk, he made a song that talks about his past and how proud he is of his homeland Philippines. He's half black half Filipino, his dad was a navy guy stationed in the Phil when he met Allan's mom. No one knew NOTHING about apl.de.ap's past and he got a really big recognition in the Filipino community, and he became a huge star in the Philippines.

That video was made by a Filipino director and his studio, it's not really well-known unless you're fans of BEP or Filipino because it never made air-time in the mainstream. In the new album Monkey Business, he made Bebot.

Wait you said "We're cast in negative light"? You're Filipino too? XD And as far as I know Filipinos aren't cast in a negative light in America. Filipinos are just very proud when they hear one of our people makes it big and is still loyal to their past and heritage. You must live in a bad place then, lol.

You can tell I'm a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas, even before apl.de.ap made this song. You should check out their first two albums before they went mainstream. It's so jazzy. The phrase I have next to my avatar in my profile is a lyric from one of their old songs.

You're asking the Filipino who apl.de.ap from BEP is. I love that song, it was one of my previous multimedias and I was planning on putting it up again in the future. Though I think I might've killed it once, cuz I overplayed it so much.
