No kidding! Wish I could have graduated from high school in style like that XP And Canada won its first gold in men's moguls. I didn't see it myself. The open concert I was at, as soon as it finish, the guy said that Canada had just won its first gold and it was done by a Quebecois, and of course, I'm in the French pavillion of the Olympics, so everyone went nuts!

Wow! Sounds like a pretty cool trip! I want to head to France once I'm done my undergraduate next year.

And yeah, I managed to catch that short-rink men's speed skating, and that take over by Apollo was bloody amazing! But same can be said for the Korean guy of course.

Unfortunately, I'm totally a team Canada person... we won our first Gold today though!!!

Ah. Well that's pretty cool! Sounds like an awesome French class!

And I have (just spent it in Vancouver, listening to French music and talking with French people!) Gotta love the Olympics!

So I decided to see what else was said in that thread I was in the other night and saw your lulzy post. So uhhh for one thing Im Canadian not American so forgive me if I havent memorized your constitution. Hah. and...like you must have missed a lot of what I said...because Im pretty sure I said that democracy was good...because you could question what the government did and change things. Because the majority is better represented than in a authoritarianism society.



Soooooo, Im pretty sure its already through my uh "thick idiotic head" that democracy means...choice...which seems to have been your point.



The only reason I had started talking about it was because of the simple fact it pisses me off when middle class nobodys are claiming that their government is oh so terrible. ...When if it really is...then they have the power to change things, yeah it takes a lot...and sometimes years to, but in the end things usually get changed if enough people care. Most places do not get that luxury. So like I said before it just irks me to hear people complain.

I see. I didn't really know the exact origin of the phrase. I just thought it sounded cool and had a neat and rather appropriate meaning, since I have those sorts of experiences a lot.

Not that I'm aware of. It is a translation of a French phrase referring to the concept of knowing the perfect thing to say after the time to say it has passed.
