Kinda. It's avatar and forum based, but now it's more avatar based since it's no longer completely forum-based now that it has flash spaces. A majority of the users don't even post in the forums that much, I don't think.
I mean, if you compared the number of active users to those that post in the forums on a regular basis, there's a larger number that don't, or at least an equal amount of those that do and those that don't.

Yeah, they are, but at least it shows that they're paying attention to SOMETHING.
It's better than completely ignoring everything everyone says. Besides, partly what keeps some people on this site are the items.
It's kind of an avatar based site now. The focus isn't really on the forums, it's the avatars.
But, that Bomber event was probably due to people asking for more user-based events like they used to have.
They also changed the cash shop so it's like the other shops, which helps the people with Flash issues and whatnot. They also tweaked Booty Grab and zOMG! a bit due to some things people were saying.
Recently they tweaked Alchemy, making some of the components easier to get.
They listen to their users in things not item related. I just tend to pay more attention to items, since the only reason I'm on here is because of the items. That, the social aspect, but still. I can be on any other website like this, but I'm not because I like the avatars and items best here.
They also did a fish update not that long ago.
Though, their main focus is the newer stuff. I realllllly wish they'd make an update for the older things. We have Towns 2.0 now, but they need an update to housing and trash exchange, among other things.

Well, like those new uniforms. They released a gold one because people didn't think the color of the Barton ones really represented Barton well.
They just completely twisted why they released them. Lol So, they do pay attention, but only if enough people are talking about it.
They also do actually make some of the items that are being petitioned.
One of my favorite movies got a couple item references, and I think that was due to a petition, considering it's not that popular of a movie.
So either someone that works for Gaia likes it, or they saw the petition. Plus, I've seen specific designs in petitions turn into items that are almost exactly the same.
Could all be coincidence, but still, at least it looks like they pay attention.

In the end, though, they still fail to take care of things that need to be taken care of, and fail to update several things.
Still waitin' for that housing update. >.<

Yeah, they keep updating and releasing things that arent that important when they should be fixing the things with problems.
