Trading in his motorcycle is one thing, but replacing it with a minivan would just be adding insult to injury. They are not the most fuel efficient or dignified of vehicles.

The apartment is way better than the dorms. I like being able to cook. Today we made peppermint hot chocolate which consisted of whipping cream, milk, chocolate, sugar, and peppermint extract. Surprisingly, neither of us has had a heart attack yet.

Yes, I have ventured to the cactus-ridden vistas. It would be harder to deal with the temperature if the air weren't so dry. It's only been 100 degrees in Seattle once during my lifetime, and that was record-breaking...and the evening in Tucson is about as warm as a full summer day where I live. I like it, though. The mountains are pretty and the sky is very blue and visible, not being obscured by clouds, tall trees, and buildings.
