im a doll. one that a little girl once loved. then she grew up, and i was left under her bed. the girl, now a teenager, couldn't care less about me. she found me under the bed while she was cleaning. the girl didnt bother to remember that i had been her 3rd birthday present, or that i had been her best friend for ever so long.my hair was now faded, not nearly as bright as it had been, and my once beautiful dress was now a bunch of rags, worn away with age, and the only sign of the girls love for me were the socks and gloves the girl had put on me, saying i'd be cold, because it was snowing outside. of coarse, that was before she got the other, much more beautiful doll for christmas that year, and i was forgotten. all she saw now was an old and beat up doll, and without a second thought, she threw it in the trash. i still exist, ever longing to be loved, to be once again held tight by a little girl in need of a friend, but i know that no-one wants me now, for i am ugly. but i keep smiling. maybe its because my mouth is sewn on that way? no. i think its because i still have hope. hope that someone will love me again. so please, wont you take me home, fix me up, and love me? thats all i ask... please?
