A simple observation of the current education system can force a lot of people who are learned enough to see what is truly a depressing sight. All of this knowledge available to the children of today and yet the effort put forth to gain it is deferred in favor of trivial pop culture or engrossing one self in entertainment that does nothing more than digress the ability to think for oneself.

It's truly sad that we are held back by something so easily overcome with a little time and introspection. We are truly a young and overbearing race.

Yes nothing will reduce the strongest man or most brilliant mind to a mewling infant with the sudden realization that even in all our supposed knowledge we are not masters of all or grasp the true tip of the iceberg so to speak of what is really out there for us. We cannot or perhaps better said will not allow ourselves grasp just how massive the universe is and how small our part in and of it is in relation. It is sad that he was never appreciated until it was too late. I think that perhaps had he been received more openly in literary circles much more of his work would have been shared with the populace and might even be a part of the school systems mandatory reading.

I remember how I felt after reading The Mountains of Madness for the first time. I had such vivid dreams after. Like I was walking the same steps that the protagonist took and hoping yet fearing that perhaps I was not just dreaming but living it.

Just thought you might enjoy this webcomic, goes by the name of Lovecraft is Missing. Just stated up recently but the artwork and story is very reminiscent of Lovecraft himself.

It's amazing how he can invoke so much with his words leaving your imagination able to let you walk in his stories and believe what he writes to have been possible.

I hate missing school.
But I don't feel well enough to make it into tomorrow.

If I don't go, then I'll only have a 1-day school week; 'cause we have Thursday/Friday off.
