That's something that would work for my sister. She is really smart and good at reading and writing, but she refuses to read and do school work.

In Arizona they had Challenge and TAG for gifted kids. I was in both and they are great. Challenge involves puzzles and learning about other cultures. TAG involves learning all the basic subjects at higher levels to challenge gifted kids. Very few states have those programs at all. I think he will be fine though.

I hated my school. Even in AP Lit, I was the outcast. The smart nerdy kids snubbed me. V_V
Wow. I started kindergarten at 6. In Arizona, that was the legal age. I hope your son gets in!!

Really sorry for the late reply!
That angers me too! I hate to talk about public school. School of any kind really. The ones I went to catered to the rich football players and cheerleaders, just like on a horrible 80s movie.
That is really cute! I think the only book I could recite at that age was The Cat in the Hat.

AW, ya! I love Eric Carle. His books are some of my favorites. Like Brown Bear. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the prettiest by far. When did you stop teaching preschool?

Yeah, megadeath always bothered me. I saw them live once, and it wasn't that great. I rocked out way harder to Children of Bodom then I did to them. The only song I some what enjoyed was Skin of my Teeth, because Kalmah does a remake of it. (And sounds a million times better.)
Metalica is in no way one of my favorites. A few of their songs are just catchy. Unfortunately I have to listen to them at the shop I work at, and I'm so sick of them. Especially their new stuff is terrible. But, that can be said for almost any band. I've never heard someone praise a bands new music over their older stuff.

Opeth was my initial band too, and they still remain a favorite of mine. And then I think it was Kalmah, which I now call my "bouncy metal" because I listen to it when I'm happy and feel like dancing. My one ex who was into metal way more then me was totally horrified one day when I started bellydancing to Necrophagist. I suppose I view metal differently then most people, seeing as it urges me to dance and bounce around.
But I omitted bands like Iron Maiden and Metalica, due to the metal-head stereotype associated with them. Rock band, is actually what brought me around to those two. xD I just think some of their stuff is catchy.
