Yeah, stepmania is awesome. I play it sometimes when I miss my US DDR games. x__x
I played Golden Cross on IIDX earlier today! It's amazing.

DDR Vol1 is for PS3, 360, PS2 and Wii though xD
And yes you should play IIDX more.
There's a lot of good music, including music from DDR! ;D

Pop'n is difficult in its own way, you have to be good at IIDX to like it.
IIDX takes a lot of practice, and you have to be taught how to play. You can't just start it and expect to do well.
There's innumerable tips and tricks that will make you able to play that you can't learn by yourself, ya know?
DDR is and always will be excellent. I'm playing right now! xD
Oh and I bought a PS3 so I can get the DDR for PS3 when it comes out. ninja
