Haha, but I still feel bad. I try to be timely in my responses. But we've been getting hammered with calls. It was ridiculous.

Haha, I don't think it compartmentalizes it. I mean, it's basically asking for a list of hobbies, which is fine. I hit the gym when I have time after getting beat down at work. I love swimming, as well. I love pools. The beaches are nice, but I don't get to go to them as often as I'd like.

Haha, yay for dogs. =] I don't get snow where I live. I have to drive to it. Kind of a shame. D:

Field work is amazing. It really teaches you how to care for patients in a way you never thought you could before.

Other than my career, I love the bass. I love the drums. I love music. Playing, writing, and listening to it.

Other than that, I love spending time with friends and I love games and doing all sorts of stuff.

Haha, right now EMS is pretty much my life. I gave up on most everything else. So, I've begun to focus it all into my job. Healthy or not, it is all I've got right now. xP

You'd be surprised how much you might enjoy field work. Like me and EMS, it always seemed like it would be pretty easy to assess a patient in the classroom, but that's all controlled, you know? But in the field, where the situation can actually change into multiple things going on, it's a lot harder, but a lot more exciting. Like one minute you're trying to treat for shortness of breath and the next minute their complaining of chest pain and starting to crash.

Field work is hard to get good at. It requires a lot of practice, but once you start getting into it, the more exciting it becomes and the more you enjoy it. So, when you do start your field work, just remember it is going to take some time. But you'll enjoy it. =]

Yeah, I make 9 bucks an hour. But, I wouldn't trade my job. I enjoy it. And given enough time, I'll make more. But you're right, the work we do is pretty selfless. For the most part you have to actually like the job to keep doing it.

He was a police officer. But for whatever reason, they always call them officers of the peace. He was the chief of police at a few places here in Cali.

Sounds like you've got a good idea what you want to do. And I think it sound awesome. I couldn't do it. Not so much for me. But I like being in places like that trying to patch things up. So, is that what you're going to go for? =]

I can say it honestly wasn't the money. =P

It's kind of hard to say what drew me to it. My dad was a peace officer and so I always had an interest in public service. When I was little I wanted to work for the Fire Department. Then in college I switched to trying to get on with the police department. Part way through I started gaining more interest in medicine. I enjoy helping people. The excitement is there, especially when we're driving with lights and sirens. But, mostly it is because I like being there when people call for help.

What about you? Where do you want to get into the medical field at? Nursing, perhaps?
