Actually, that`s funny. :"] Nooo offense to your name or anything, but it IS funny. Oh, s**t right...I have a Science test next week. Well, who calls you that besides Jon and Robert? And, well...Me. But, by accident, not purpose. Ohhh mah damn. Robert was sooo friggin` weird in FACS today. o_o He kept on asking if he could get the answers from me for the naming the kitchen tools page. And I was like, why? And he was like `cause you`re sooo smart. And I was like...Okayyy? It was friggin` creepy. I hate it when he`s nice to me. >[ Good news: He only called me "Becca" like only once today. I think. It`s was either once, or none at all. :"D

Basically, right after Sept. 11, 2001, the US convinced Canada and the UK, and a handful of other nations, to join in an invasion of Afghanistan, because that's where Osama Bin Ladin was/is hiding, and it was thought that the Taliban (the totalitarian government of Afghanistan) was harboring Al Qaeda. A fringe benefit to going after Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Ladin was that the coalition forces ousted a regime that was keeping Afghanistan in the Dark Ages. They also assisted Afghanistan's resistance movement, which was called the Northern Alliance. Afghanistan has since formed a new government and elected a president as well. The invasion was initially dubbed "Operation Enduring Freedom" (gosh darn, if that's not hokey). Later, in 2002, the international community and the countries involved created the "International Security Assistance Force" (ISAF) to help keep the peace. Later, in 2003, NATO took control of the ISAF. Canada was given the job of repairing the province of Kandahar, which was a hotbed of Taliban resistance in Southern Afghanistan, and one of the more hotly contested areas. In July of 2006, we launched Operation Medusa (a much cooler name, if I do say so myself), to essentially rid the province of Taliban forces once and for all. Other operations, mostly led by the British, have also helped to give the country more stability. The US has mostly withdrawn its troops from Afghanistan (because of Iraq), leaving Canada and the UK with most of the responsibility of repairing the country, but with major support from other NATO countries (like Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands).

FORGET ABOUT HIM. Or, at least try to. Or, try to act like you never met him or SOMETHING.

Really? Okay...What`s with your About Me section by the way? The "Nick" part? Honestly, that`s a little bit too overboard. Okay, can`t wait to see them! :"D

For the Yeast Experiment? Well, the IV is the other sweetener you used besides sugar [[honey]]. And the DV is the effect of the honey on the rising of the yeast.

As much as I think it has brought some good to the area, I think the Iraq war has been handled terribly. I think Iraq still needs support, you know, since they don't have a stable government, but I don't think America should necessarily be the one to provide that support. But really, who am I to talk? Canada is currently mired in Afghanistan, though it seems to be going better of late.
