Not a problem, I was just trying to help out. I am very impressed with your art too, I looked at some of your other stuff as well and it's all very good. You are much better than most of the artists in the arenas and you have a lot of potential. Definitely keep developing your skills as an artist and pursue that path, you have a lot of talent. ^__^

OMG. 2X LUNCH? LOL. It would've been way better if it was 2nd or 5th period. Then you can go home at 2 pm or right at 2nd lunch and never come back.

Wow. You really planned things out. Good for you. I've decided. I'm going to do editing part time and real estate part time! Whooh! blaugh I know, I'm crazy. Or maybe I'll be more reasonable and stick with teaching french grammar (even though I suck at teaching). All I know is, I'm not teaching English. Then I have to freaking teach people how to write a freaking essay.

And I also decided that if I can't find a job, I'm going to go to Quebec. I need to get out of my comfort zone. I heard that Quebecois people are pretty. Boy, will I stick out there in a bad way. Sniff, sniff.

First, I'd talk to your parents about your choice. If you went to UFT wouldn't you regret that you couldn't take art fund. and then transfer to the more advanced prog. later? If they truly don't want you to take art fundamentals, THEN think about your course change for UFT.

Thanks for your advice btw. I'm just going to do one more tutoring session to see how I feel about it.

Btw, how would you quit the tutoring thing? The teacher is kind of mean so... after tuesday, do I just stop going? Actually yah, I'll just tell the main teacher in charge that I don't want to do it anymore b/c I don't feel that I'm strong enough in English to be teaching others it.

I'm sure your mom would understand. Besides, world issues isn't directly correlated to what you're doing. You're proving that you're not a giver upper by doing whatever you can to achieve your goal of being a successful artist. You're still going through with art fundamentals even though you didn't get accepted into another program. That shows perseverance and confidence. If I had the same confidence and determination as you, I think I could do a lot more. You're awesome! biggrin

Whoops, I forgot. Just tell her that dropping that course is necessary for your academics and that world issues doesn't have anything to do with anything you're doing anyway. I took it last semester. It's mainly a mix of politics, geography and history. As long as you're someone who isn't ignorant of what's going on in this world (like a particular someone), and you're wise enough to not fall for lies like marketing tactics nor political jargon/doublespeak... you're fine without it. World issues is just for making one aware.

Thank you for your advice. You're really good at giving advice. biggrin And you're right, I'd really have to want it if I want to go into publishing. To be honest, I'm also interested in being a real estate agent! :nod: It may not be cool if you can't earn money because it seems like a freelance job even if you're in a company, but other than that, it's cool. No no, you're right. I am critical and judgmental in a good and bad way. That was the reason why I wanted to be a casting director in grade 10. LOL

Well, if you already got accepted into the school that you want to go to then it shouldn't matter if you drop it or not. But to make sure, you should ask the counselor if a DROPPED course will affect your acceptance. If it doesn't affect your acceptance, I'd recommend you just drop it because if you're miserable in that class, then it's not really worth it. Not only that, but you're also going to a college to pursue your animation career right? A U course shouldn't be affecting it much because they look at M and C courses? After getting accepted, you just have to keep up your average. If you're taking this U course to attain acceptances into universities (which you won't be going to right?) for pride, it'd be better to get rid of miserableness by sacrificing that pride. Besides, your true pride is your dream school-art school right?

And if you didn't get accepted yet, same thing, ask if dropping this U course will affect your future acceptance to a college. I'm sorry that I can't help you much. Snifff... I wish I was as good as you at giving advice. Is world issues really that bad? I thought it was interesting, but then again, I had Ms.Merali who's really interesting.

By the way, I need some advice. I'm starting to doubt that I'd be a good teacher because I suck at giving clear instructions. So I was thinking of an alternative- working in the publishing industry (funny, because teaching was supposed to be my alternative for THIS career. xd ). It's 'cause I'm seeing all these student teachers struggle with communicating clearly yet interestingly for students and the teachers observing them. So my point is, do you think working in the publishing industry would be stable? I don't know what I'd do exactly. Maybe I'd start off as an editor (my teacher said that's one of the starting positions). biggrin Unless you can help me think of a better career for me! blaugh I'd love to be a real estate agent, but that also requires good communication. Lol.
